SL System: SIMION

Launch: [slsimion.exe].

The SL SIMION wrapper program (slsimion.exe) provides a convenient way to run SIMION using the SL Toolkit. SL SIMION does this:

• Sets up environment variables for SIMION, such as pointing SIMION to the SL text editor mentioned in the PROJECTS.txt configuration file (default is evim) rather than SIMION's default EDY text editor.
• Sets up a drive mapping from a data folder (containing SIMION data files). This overcomes the "directory size too big" limitation in SIMION 7.0's file manager. For details on this issue see the FAQ (www.simion.com/docs/faq.html).
• Starts SIMION.

To use SL SIMION, you may need to edit the PROJECT.txt configuration file to match your system since SL SIMION looks in this file to obtain file directory paths.
